Private sale.I am selling an Avon Supersport RIB rated to carry six people.    Serial number AVB65284E888   Engine recommended max hp is a 40hp    load capacity max 1430kgThis rib has been kept on a mooring each summer and used for sea fishing with a 10hp outboard motor (not included in this sale). It could do with some cosmetic work if you wanted it to look really smart. I had intended to paint the hull inside and out, put one new lifting handle on and two new Avon graphic stickers but never got round to it. It has some patches, however it is perfectly functional and does not leak air, all the photos were taken on the 15th May 2012. The price we are selling for reflects that it will need some tlc.Its large diameter tubes and strong deep V hull, wide beam makes it an excellent rough water boat.Included is a cover.The trailer is in very good condition with strong suspension units and excellent tyres, the wheel bearings are good.  It has a new winch, and tow hitch, also a jockey wheel and lighting board. The trailer can be adjusted to take a larger boat, up to about 5m. When being towed you hardly know it’s behind you.I have a steering console for sale, with seat, battery isolator, battery and fuel tank storage  The steering assembly, steering wheel and teleflex cable are recently new. This console was installed on the boat when it had a 40hp engine on it, Breath taking!!! Quicksilver 2.4m dinghy / tender with 2010 Mercury 9.9 hp 4 stroke outboard motor. All virtually as new condition. Dinghy purchase new by me in 2006 and has been used occasionally as a tender to my river boat on the thames. Has air bed inflatable floor and keel making it the perfect handling sea or river craft. Had small repair to back of tube last year as had a pinprick hole, but now all ok. Mercury engine bought new by me in 2010 (list price of £2300.00) and has done approx 15 hours. Serviced twice by Mercury dealer and is covered by the Mercury 5 year warranty. External fuel tank, oars and quicksilver pump and pressure gauge all as new. Unless you buy new you won’t buy anything better!! Genuine reason for sale as recently purchased an Avon jet rib. avon inflatable,5.2 meterl long with very large tubes.i havent used this since i bought it the end of last summer and the air has held in it since then.been kept inflated indoors on the galvanised trailer you see in the photo.it has an inflatable keel and i belive its an aluminium slated floor.it is self draining and has a stainless steel a frame with navigation lights on,however i am not sure if they work as i havent tried.it comes with oars and a pump and a galvanised trailer.it has had 2 patches in its life and both were proffesionaly done.i welcome any viewers.cash on collection,please see my other items.many thanks, 07779 553388i have a buy it now but am open to serious offers.it is for sale elseware so i have the right to remove it at anytime.

Welcome to the reluctant sale for my Avon Searider SR4.7
rib, sitting on a rollercoaster trailer with a Mariner 60hp outboard.

I searched long and hard for this RIB, I wanted one small
enough to fit in the garage and be launched and recovered by one, yet big and
powerful enough to head out to sea safely. 
This RIB is rated to take 8 people, but I have had ten in it safely and
it still planes (just).  Plenty of poke
to pull a mono skier out too.

Boat

This is one of the last of the seariders and is in excellent
condition, tubes have no patches, hold air for as long as you want, the hull is
in good condition.  There is a fishfinder
fitted, as well as a pump, two oars and two quicksilver fuel tanks.  I store them at the rear of the boat where
there are straps to tie them down, but you can fit them under the seat.  The battery and a tool box are currently
fitted under the seat, with a few old flares and spare plugs etc.  I have fresh water rinsed the tubes and hull
after every use, it’s kept under the cover and usually in the barn (always in
the barn during winter).

Engine

The Engine is a 3 cylinder 2 stroke Mariner 60hp, I know
people rave about 4 strokes, but I actually went out to find a two stroke, they
are lighter, have more usable power and are easy to maintain, this one is an
autolube and has an oil reservoir under the hood which takes about 3 litres of
oil, I haven’t used it much and tend to fill it at the start of the season.  It always starts on the button and is religiously
flushed with freshwater after every outing. 
I changed the impellor last year, serviced her at the start of the
season and winterise her every winter. 
The previous owner estimated his usage at 80-100 hours and I doubt I
have put 30 hours on her, so low usage.

Trailer

This is a rollercoaster trailer, making launching and
recovery easy, new bearings and winch strap last month, good to tow
anywhere.  Features a hitch lock and I
have 2 spare wheels as well.

Summary

A hull with excellent sea keeping abilities, matched to a powerful,
yet economic engine, all in excellent condition ready for the summer.  Viewing recommended, sea trail possible, but,
please no timewasters, I will ask for £20 upfront to cover my time and fuel,
refundable if you buy the boat.

The rib is completely portable so can be deflated, put in the bag and into your car. However unlike other portable ribs the Avon has a solid slat floor making it more stable in the water.
