Quicksilver Inflatable Boat and Outboard Engine  - ideal as a tender or run-about

Boat:

2.7M long and 1.5M wide, accommodates 3 adults + 1 child.  1-piece oars replaced 1-year ago. High-pressure air floor and inflatable keel. Storage bag. Bought new in 2002, in generally good condition. Only used for 1-week per year.  Some defects consistent with age including: some marks on tubes, paint on seat is cracked, some corrosion to metal engine plate on transom, stitching on storage bag is coming loose in places.  Size when in storage bag approx 135x70x35cm.

Engine:

Mercury 3.3HP 2-stroke outboard, 2002, very low hours (less than c 70hrs total). Kept indoors when not in use. Generally good condition and running – last services around 3yrs ago but only used for 10-20hrs since then.  Some minor defects consistent with age including a few scuffs to top cover, scuffs around the propeller and transom fixings. Complete with ‘kill-cord’ and lock.

Boat + engine being sold together as 1 item. Buyer is responsible for collection both items together (or arranging transport) from TN6 post-code area. The items are bulky and heavy!  – the boat should fit on the back seat of  a large family-size car or estate,  or on roofbars.

Quicksilver 430 inflatable boat. 2005 model, but has been very well used and abused! This boat is tatty!! It has a number of patches and repairs, some of which haven’t been done with much care. The tubes do go soft over the course of a couple of days, but I suspect if you re-did a few of the patches this would solve the problem. The boat has a marine ply floor which needs repainting. The boat is rated to 30hp. It comes with a very solid trailer which has three large carpeted bunks, a winch and a jockey wheel. The bearings on this are in good order and it’s ready to tow away.So, in summary, a tatty but usable boat. With a couple of afternoons work and a good clean, this could look a LOT better, and you could grab your self a bargain.The boat will need to be collected from Southampton. A £50 deposit by Paypal or bank transfer will need to be paid as soon as the auction ends, with the rest due on collection either in cash or bank transfer. You will need to bring a lighting board and a couple of straps with you when you come to collect.
